A growing network of people in Silchester helping each other to power their homes for less.

Make friends. Save money. Cut carbon.
We’re fostering a community of tip-swapping, advice-sharing, energy-saving experts in Silchester who – together – could cut carbon and potentially save hundreds of pounds on their energy bills every year.
How does it work?
Join in – and you’ll have access to Facebook and WhatsApp groups where you can easily swap practical energy-saving tips and hacks with friends and neighbours.
And – if you’re thinking about improvements like solar panels or insulation – you’ll be able to talk to others who have already had them done and learn about their real experiences and thoughts.
You’ll also have even easier access to our Green Team, who will explain everything you can do – without using confusing language – to make your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
Who’s supporting this?
‘Power in numbers’ involves us – plus the borough council, Sustainable Silchester and Silchester Parish Council.

How can I find out more?
Come and chat to the Green Team in person at an energy workshop in the club room in Silchester Village Hall. It’s being held from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Monday 3 November.
If you just can’t wait that long, you can get in touch with our Green Team now by email or phone.
I’m ready – how do I join?
